THX Certified
Stage 2

THX Certified Cinemas and Mixing Studios offer movie-goers the ultimate cinematic experience – because the entire environment is designed and tested to ensure that it meets the highest standards for sound and picture excellence. To insure that that our client's films translate perfectly to the best theaters, our Stage 2 is THX certified.

Lucasfilm THX Ltd. was established with the goal of ensuring that cinema auditorium sound was reproduced exactly as it was intended by the filmmaker. In order to earn THX certification, a strict design using only approved components must be followed. Then, cinema acoustics, background noise, sound reproduction and imaging characteristics are thoroughly tested.

Each cinema must meet THX criteria for minimum interference from noise and crisp, accurate cinema sound unaltered by excess reverberation.

The result is that cinema audiences experience movies that look and sound great. Naturally balanced sound uniformly reaches every seat in the auditorium. High dialog intelligibility and decreased bass distortion provide accurate, true-to-life sound intelligibility. Strong stereo localization, where sound appears to move across the screen as the action moves across the screen, and a wide frequency range that that delivers higher highs and lower lows, deliver the most powerful and realistic movie-going experience.

THX Certification is the only guarantee that what you hear on the mixing stage, will be reproduced identically in the theater.

Question:

Many claim their stage's sound matches the
best theaters.
If true, why aren't they THX Certified?
Answer:
In fact, they cannot meet the high specifications of THX.

Why risk how your film will sound?
